The Best LGBTQ+ Lego Sets
With it now being 2023 we’re here to look at some of the LGBTQ+ sets that Lego has brought out. However, I hope that we can update this list in the future because LEGO hasn’t actually done much in the way of LGBTQ+ rights and their lack of queer sets displays this. I would love to write a comprehensive list of all of the LGBTQ+ Lego sets but all they have is one set and a set that has a tiny rainbow flag.
LEGO LGBTQ+ Sets
Here are the two LGBTQ+ Lego sets that are currently available:
- Everyone is Awesome (2021) is a 346-piece set with 11 minifigures in different Pride flag colours. The set was designed by Matthew Ashton, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and it is meant to celebrate diversity and inclusion. Lego Everyone is an Awesome set
- The A-Z of Awesome (2022) is a community-driven project that invites LGBTQIA+ people to create LEGO builds that represent different aspects of the community. The builds will be featured on a dedicated website and social media channels. Lego The A-Z of Awesome set
Both of these sets are a great way to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and promote diversity and inclusion. They are also a lot of fun to build and to play with.
In addition to these two sets, LEGO has also included subtler representations of LGBTQ+ people in some of its other sets. For example, the 2021 set Trafalgar Square includes a tiny rainbow flag, and the 2022 set BrickHeadz: Mr. & Mrs Potato Head can be built as two men or two women.
LEGO is committed to creating a more inclusive world, and these sets are a step in the right direction. They are a great way to teach children about diversity and acceptance, and they are also a lot of fun to build and play with.
LEGO LGBTQ+ Set On Amazon
It’s nice to see Lego doing stuff to give back to the community and spreading a little bit of LGBTQ+ rights in their sets but it would also be nice to see a new set brought out in the future as it’s been a couple of years since we got the Everyone Is Awsome Lego set. If you’re looking to buy this set it is a lot cheaper on Amazon using the link below.
I’ve also included some Disney sets below because what LGBTQ+ community member doesn’t like Disney?
