Melitta Coffee Machine Filters Review
In this household, we drink coffee! and we go through a lot of Melitta coffee filters, that’s for sure. I thought it was about time I did a little review on them and talked about some of the coffee machines that they can be used with. I end up getting my partner some of these filters each year for Christmas as I know they’ll be used in no time. Christmas is the best time to stock up on much needed household essentials, after all a good Christmas present is something we need and want.
We actually drink Melitta coffee, have several Melitta coffee machines and I’m seriously thinking about buying some of their merch, our kitchen might as well be sponsored by Melitta!
Who Are Melitta?
Melitta is a German company that was founded in 1908 by Melitta Bentz. The company is known for its coffee filters, which were invented by Bentz in her own kitchen. Melitta coffee filters are made from a thin, perforated paper that is designed to trap coffee grounds and allow the coffee to brew through. They are available in various sizes and shapes to fit different coffee makers.
In addition to coffee filters, Melitta also produces coffee, coffee makers, and other coffee-related products. The company has a strong focus on sustainability, and its products are made from recycled materials whenever possible. Melitta is committed to providing high-quality products that make it easy for people to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.
They have quite frankly taken the UK market by storm, I know quite a few people now who have Melitta coffee machines and drink Melitta coffee on a daily basis, because it’s that good. I’ve even converted some of my family into Melitta coffee lovers and as you can tell from my reviews if I don’t like something, I’m honest about it!
Are Melitta Coffee Filters Expensive?
Melitta coffee filters are considered to be mid-range in price in the UK. They are more expensive than some store brands, but less expensive than some speciality brands. The price of Melitta coffee filters varies depending on the size, shape, and quantity of filters purchased. For example, a box of 100 regular-sized filters costs around £2.50, while a box of 100 decaffeinated filters costs around £3.00. I get my Melitta Coffee Filters on Amazon as I get next day delivery and they’re one of the cheapest places to get them.
Whether or not Melitta coffee filters are considered to be cheap in the UK is a matter of personal opinion. Some people may find them to be a good value for the price, while others may find them to be too expensive. Ultimately, the best way to decide if Melitta coffee filters are cheap for you is to compare their price to other brands and consider your own budget.

Are Melitta Filters Good?
Personally, I say yes. We love these filters, they’re good for the environment. They have a positive impact, they’re cheap enough compared to other coffee filters on the market and the packaging is recyclable as well. They’re the only coffee filter we’ve used in the last 8 years so that’s saying something. Sure you can get other coffee filters but they don’t work as well and they probably don’t have the eco-impact either.
Pros & Cons Of Melitta Coffee Filters
In my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons when it comes to these Melitta coffee filters. I also like the colour of them which might be weird but they’re different to all the other “standard” coffee filters on the market.
Pros:
- Made from high-quality materials
- Durable
- Recyclable
- Available in a variety of sizes and shapes
- Eco-Friendly
Cons:
- Can be more expensive than some other brands
- Can be difficult to find in some stores
Overall, Melitta coffee filters are a good choice for those looking for a high-quality, durable, and recyclable coffee filter.
Do I Recommend Melitta?
Yes. When I was younger I never used to drink coffee, it gave me headaches. Now that I’m older, I can’t get enough. Melitta coffee, their filters and their machines are all amazing in my opinion and I’m not being paid to say that either. I don’t need to worry about instant coffee rubbish anymore because Melitta has me covered. I have two machines at the moment, one that takes coffee grounds and another that takes coffee beans as I get so much coffee for Christmas from my family.
So if you’re looking for good coffee filters, Melitta has you covered.
Other Melitta Reviews
I loved talking about Melitta, you’ll probably see more Melitta reviews in the future, I might even review some of their coffee or coffee machines. As always I love putting in other reviews from other people on the internet as I feel it gives my readers more points of view and if you’re going to buy a product you don’t want to just take the first review and trust that.
