Pest Shield Cat & Dog Granules
I have a nice, big garden and I also have issues with the neighbour’s cats, well one in particular and I’ve tried so many things to get this cat to stop using the flowerbeds as toilets and I can safely say, some stuff works and other things do not! We sprinkled down coffee grounds for two weeks and they still used the flower beds, just not as frequently so maybe give the coffee a try if you drink it often.
While visiting the local Poundland we came across this pest shield product and thought, let’s give it a go. It states on there it’s a cat deterrent and dog deterrent so hopefully, with any luck it should keep the cats from our flower beds! I will say that this was only £1 so it wasn’t expensive at all. The one thing that did wind me up a little was the fact the bottle wasn’t even half full which in my mind is a waste of plastic.
Who Are Pest Shield?
Good question because before I picked this cat repellent up I had no idea who they were and had never heard of them before. At this point though I’m happy to try pretty much anything to guard my poor flowerbeds!
Pest Shield is a pest control company that was founded in 2000. The company is headquartered in Webster Groves, Missouri, and it has over 200 employees. Pest Shield offers a variety of pest control services, including termite control, ant control, spider control, and rodent control. The company also offers a variety of home and garden pest prevention services. So they have more than one product depending on what you’re looking for. To be running for 23 years and during covid I think they’ve done very well and that shows something about their products.
Pest Shield is committed to providing its customers with the highest quality pest control services. The company uses the latest technology and methods to control pests, and it is licensed and insured. Pest Shield also offers a satisfaction guarantee on all of its services. I’ve never had to use the guarantee though because the cat and dog granules actually do their job!
What are Pest Shield Dog and Cat Granules?
Pest Shield Dog and Cat Granules are a natural, non-toxic repellent that uses essential oils to keep dogs and cats away from your yard and garden. It’s safe to use around children and pets, and it’s easy to apply. Just sprinkle the granules around the areas you want to protect, and the animals will avoid them.
I found that these granules are the best dog repellent and the best cat repellent out there but they don’t work on squirrels who love to dig up bulbs, you might need to find something else to stop them. The granules have a terrible smell to them, which I assume keeps the animals away and I would advise you sprinkle them lower to the ground when it’s not windy.
Where Can I Buy Pest Shield Products? How Much Are Pest Shield Products?
You can buy these in Poundland when you go into town but if you’re looking for a more quicker and convenient way of buying some, you can get them online. You can buy them from the Pest Shield website of course or shop around a little more. When buying this cat deterrent you want to make sure it’s right for your garden and that you get enough to cover all of the areas you need it to.
Pest Shield website: The Pest Shield website is the official retailer of Pest Shield products. The website offers a wide variety of Pest Shield products at competitive prices.

Do I Recommend Pest Shield Cat & Dog Granules?
So far so good. I’ve had no issues with my flower beds since I started using this. That being said I would always suggest getting a large quantity because you might want to reapply it more frequently if it rains because the granules can be washed away and the effects won’t last as long. Plus make sure you shop around and find the best price. Just because you want a decent dog repellent or cat repellent doesn’t mean you have to pay a fortune!
